Maybe someone will find one interesting art element in game, tribute to to my favorite writer, John Tolkien I'm going to take a stab at this: Is it Reed, or the story about the Old Fairy? Also a question: What version has the Collectible Suns? I haven't found any in my BF version but I found a walkthrough (above post page 1-2?) that talks about collectible suns so I looked for them in the places it shows them and mine doesn't have them and I couldn't find a CE edition on this game. Do they morph and I just didn't wait long enough for a morph or do they require a specific action to trigger them?

Finished and did not find the lord of the rings tribute, having said that seeing as I have never watched Lord Of The Rings I would probably not realise if I had found it.

I'm done and I like being able to cruise around all the scenes. Couldn't do it without the map. The Lord of the rings-Caves? Or wanting the power? Waif? Hops too dark for me. Was hard to see. At first, I was thinking elder Grace was prime. What year did this come out?

Hey urusshaitan , I havent reached the end yet, so havent seen if some credits roll at the end. I'm having a good time, in spite of my grumbles here and there. But since I was paying way more attention to the various aspects of your game as I went along than I normally do in a HOPA, I've always wondered:
- How many folks worked on this game?
- How long does it take to develop a game like this?
- Can you easily estimate the "time to design/structure of the game" versus "time to implement the design"?
- What sort of skills are important in making the game?
- Are some chores typically "hired out" rather than being done in-house?
- What was the hardest thing and/or what required the most initial time or rework?
- What do you personally find to be the most fun in the project?
- How hard is it to find places to market your game? Do different venues or promoters pay much more of the profits to the developers?
- Was it faster or slower to develop Beyond the Invisible: Darkness Came based on your "lessons learned" from this game?
- Oh, and of course, what were your main "lessons learned" from Evening??

Finally, finally got started. Love the art - creepily ominous. Can't be far enough into game to figure on the Tolkien tribute but the Elder puts me in mind of the evil queen/hag in Disney. Great game so far Clapping

pennmom , I demoed this game at IWin, and that one had the suns in it. I found them generally hard to find and some, if not all, of the suns were morphing. Seemed like a pretty innovative thing back when this game was made! Of course, I also wound up swearing some of the hidden object scenes had morphs, 'cause after searching and searching for a given item, when I finally found it I was often "well, that's so obvious. How could I possibly been missing it all this time?" (I concluded it was just that I was inept & not at all that the objects morphed! Was it BFG or urusshaitan 's group that decided to remove the suns? Or was it more that they put the suns IN for the other venues?

I finally finished too! Took an unplanned detour getting there (well, I prefer to call it "going by the scenic route"!) but finished nonetheless. I've gotta admit, when I ran the demo for this game (many) years ago, I did not like it at all. Happily, that was not my experience this time at all. Game was fun, well-presented, and nicely had more challenge than many of the HOPAs these days. I also loved the sepia story panels. Must admit I did not like the "twist" at the end...but at the same time, I dont think the developers exploited it enough to gain much shock value from it. If one read too quickly, you could have missed it entirely. urusshaitan , saw somewhere that in the version of the game that has the suns also has some added gameplay at the end if one found all the suns. Since I suspect most, if not all, of us in this grouppley played the BFG (ie, non-sun) version, can you give us a hint of what the "epilogue" provided? Any additional content about the ending twist??

urusshaitan, I sure wish you would revisit your HOPA roots to make a spinoff of THIS particular game's format, the retro type gameplay is what everyone misses. Being able to wander through all of the scenes is sorely missed by this gamer! (that's me btw) I am here to tell you that if you duplicated this game (even if you just remaster it...with a CE version & suns lol) it would do amazing at the box office heck, I may even consider coming out of retirement Rolling Along
