angie60, I noticed several translations "did he just say that" moments Rolling Along Yesterday was super busy for me and I didn't get a chance to play any more of the game, so now I will get back to doing my gaming and see who else I can stab with the dagger or tazze the out of! Why can't games allow us to use these items as we see fit OMG

Just finished the very short bonus chapter, which is a sequel, but not really needed, except for the very last cutscene. Which leads me to the question ... where's the next game? {Spoiler}Alivia tells me that I still have so much to do in my world but that she'll be watching me from her world ... so where's the next game? You can't tell me that I still have so much to do and then what, I retire to a tropical island to live out my days in peace and tranquility, while the world comes crashing down without me to save it? Or do I retire to the Woods, destined to play games in group play, rather than be the main character in my own games? There are 2 new scenes in the bonus chapter, with one straight-forward, list HOS with only one very simple interaction - very different to the fun HOSs in the main game - but that allowed me to get the last achievement for completing a HOS in under a minute. BUT I didn't get the final achievement, which was the achievement for getting all the achievements! Not a happy camper, here, having played in the hardest mode, with no hints at all, just so I could get all the achievements! There was also one very simple minigame that just took a minute or two. But all in all I loved playing this game. I loved the graphics, the atmospheric music, the challenge, the adventure, the few HOSs and MGs, and even the funny inconsistencies in the English, although I missed the one about getting the cover off the radio. Now bring on game number 3! I'll just go and play the first one while I wait ...

oioioi , I'm trying to talk him into Game # 3 but I want it to be more like game #1 than #2 with adventure hand drawn characters rather than real people I was finally able to start playing today, I made it through the portal but have no idea how much further I have to go. I am playing the BF standard edition so I don't get to continue my journey after the main game smitty189, since you are rearing to go, how about coming up with a list of games for the next poll whilst I continue my journey?

Ok, finished up; I found it not so surprising that Alivia is able to defeat shadows with a sword she's never handled and a dirty look, but a whole army got defeated. My character took them down with a kite and lightening-very Benjamin Franklin style So-is Wild Case next?

Just my 5 cents on a general comment regarding drawn characters vs. the more real-looking ones (not real as in the photoshopped real people in the Vacation Adventures games backgrounds)... There are both styles used in King's Heir (in two or three scenes there are very different styles), and I have to say I prefer the more real-looking characters. I don't think that game would have inspired me anywhere near as much to take it as far as I have in the past 2+ years (hard to believe it will be 3 years in August that I started planning and writing the novelization).
Ditto Vacation Adventures, btw.

Finished the main game & bonus game. Was disappointed the "Credits" did not seem to list the actual developers, just some folks who did the auxiliary stuff (music, translation, voice-overs). Was cute to see the apparent self-portrait of the developer on the brick wall leading to the Professor's house in the bonus game! I did not enjoy this game as much as the previous one because (a) I just wasnt smart enough to do a lot of it w/o a hint. Had to use the Hint button many times to get through the adventure steps though normally I use it seldom or not at all; and (b) while most of the hints were needed to cover for my stupidity and/or lack of memory, a fair number were also needed because of some of the tortured or extreme (il)logic to some of the steps. For example, tried many times to blow up the door in the park near the first portal/orphanage by simply putting the explosives near its base, only to find that I instead needed to
{Spoiler The "real" way}find a toy helicopter & tie the explosives to it. Then find gas for a motorcycle that was just sitting around, mount the helicopter on the motorcycle & ram the motorcycle into the door. Ummm, and since the helicopter never flew, why did I need it instead of just tying the explosives to the motorcycle in the 1st place...or no, since the explosives did not go off right as they were lit, why couldnt I just put them next to the door as I wanted to do from the beginning?? Oddly enough, this is one of the spots where I did NOT need to use a hint, but how convoluted is the logic if this seemed a perfectly natural solution to me??!!

lurkercat, I agree, I tried the dynamite as well, and I had to use the Hint many times because things just didn't make sense or I had no clue what was expected of me. With that being said, it is a decent game, just no where near as fun as the original Beyond the Invisible...but still glad I played it again! Now who's left to finish the game? Was I the last one or is someone still playing? What are we going to play next?

I played the first game yesterday and found them very similar ... which is good, as I loved them both! I just found the first one much more challenging as there were so many scenes and I kept on getting lost.
OMG
Thank heavens for the map!
Aha!
What was also really challenging was finding something you vaguely remember needing hours ago, knowing what you needed it for, but where the heck was it?
Rough Day
Or, waiting and waiting... and waiting... and waiting... and waiting... to finally find a tool to remove those blasted leaves in the fountain! I, personally, would have just used my hands.
Clapping
Anyway, GREAT game, just like the second one!
Cool Dancing
I didn't need to look at the walkthrough nearly as often as I did when I played the second game, in part because I used the map (I played in the hardest mode in the second game, which meant no help at all), which had all those little !s, which helped me find those things I couldn't remember where they were, and saved me when I was lost, but also because I didn't miss so many little active zones as I seemed to in the second game.
But when I did look at the walkthrough, I noticed the collectible suns, and wondered who had released the game as a CE, with the collectible suns and extras. I checked GH but they didn't offer the game as a PE/CE and didn't mention the suns, so I didn't think to check that game out. However, when I read that GH had, indeed, released the version with the suns, I downloaded the game from GH et voila, there was the Extras button showing on the opening screen! And, even though I hadn't played the version with the suns, I was able to access the Extras!
Bouncy Puppy
The problem was, that every time I downloaded a single wallpaper, or a single piece of music, the entire game shut down and I had to reopen it to download another one! I have no idea why it did this and it was REALLY annoying!
Also, when I checked out the credits, there was just the developer's logo, and that was it! No names at all.
So, I loved both games and REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want a third!

urusshaitan , if you're around, why does the entire game shut down every time I download a single wallpaper, etc, from the first game? I love the wallpapers, sketches and music, but having to re-open the game after every single download is a tad irritating. And I vote for Game Number 3 because I want MORE!

oioioi, I wanted to use my hand on those leaves too! The fact that there were so many scenes and I had to remember where everything was located, is why I loved this game so much! Nowadays we are lucky if 3 scenes are available at a time, this makes HOPAs so easy and fool-proof thus boring. Both games were really good, much better than any of todays HOPAs (although I did enjoy Bridge To Another World yesterday, it still wasn't as creative and interesting (or as difficult) than Beyond the Invisible: Evening! Now I'm off to do Nana duties for the whole day!
