pennmom ...Not the cabinets please .  I dont do puzzles well. Other than that I will leave it to everyone to have a say.  I actually bought evil pumpkin and couldn't finish it..I got a glitch and a coupon lol. (it was great till then though).. The others all look good.

Ooops!!! Sorry, joybelle, I voted for the Cabinets, mainly because that's the only game I already have on the list, and looked the most interesting for me, of course I will buy the one you guys/girls rather to play instead. I can be swayed Cheers Mate |

I don't usually do the group play thing, don't really know how it works, but the only game I have in the list is The Cabinets of Dr. Arcana. However, the game does have a built-in WT already?

joybelle, moni, dillonamazon, smitty189, SynthpopAddict, How about the leading game wins on Tuesday 10-5-2021 at around 2 PM and we will start playing on Wednesday morning (10-6-2021)? I have to watch my grandson for a couple of hours on Wednesday but I'll be here in the morning to get it started and back by 11 to 11:30. Will that work for everyone?

To answer to how it works, we choose a game, at a given time we start to play that game at our own pace, basically all participants are playing the same game in RT. We share thoughts about it here, where we at and if somebody gets stuck we try to help... etc. Otherwise, group game play is about playing the same game, really...  |

pennmom, I dont personally care at all for this go-round, since I already own both of the leading contenders, but do think that in general for group plays we ought to identify the game at least a week before starting it, so folks have time to look for a suitable sale and/or site to buy it at...even more notice would be appreciated in general. Ditto for announcements about when voting ends, to at least be stated when the poll is opened, since at less than 24 hours, not much guarantee that folks have managed to log in and even seen the proposed early termination note.

I have tried demo for both of the leading games but Shadows will not play on my laptop but will go with what gets top vote.

cyril50, pennmom, I downloaded the demo too. The first time I tried to open it I got an access error and a tiny screen. So I tried again and it worked just fine. Who knew it was 8floor??!! Its still a tie so who will win LOL??? I downloaded on chrome..and I know you use edge cyril50, try that and see? Good luck.

Nope, wasnt saying that at all. Either choice was fine by me because I already own both leading games & have not played either. Was just saying that in general, imho, folks should not be put in position of having to buy a group play game "immediately", but should be able to know the selection enough in advance that, if they dont already own it, they can look for a decent sale to buy it. Ditto a well-defined interval for voting, so folks have time to trial the options to help inform their selection. For example, I only buy games at BOGO sales & try to arrange things so I can get 6 games at the BOGO so I can get a PCC too, and so a 7th game. (Yes, I'm a master at delayed gratification). Others may choose to wait till a 60% sale or some other of the usual BFG sales or on a Steam special, GGAOTD free version (which Shadows: Price for Our Sins just was), Indie discount, etc. But when group plays are announced the day before play begins, folks are forced to buy immediately & not on a schedule that may match their budget or preferences. Back at Pond Friends, mcquigan tried to get a backlog of group plays identified in advance so that folks had some time to search for bargains and/or check various outlets. Just a personal opinion on my part, based on my inherent frugalness. Your mileage may vary. |

dillonamazon, I believe, pennmom will give us a go by opening a new thread, where we can post our progress, help wanted, and whatnots. She will tag all participants, so we all get a notice for Ready-Set-Goooo!... Then we start to open cabinets... Cheering
