Okay, I ran down to Walmart to buy soy sauce for my Korean Beef recipe I was making for dinner 2 days ago. I ended up getting 100 bucks worth of  lol. There was only 1 clerk working the registers and the self checkouts were jammed packed so I chose the single clerks lane.
There was an elderly woman buying a whole slew of groceries in front of me and I overheard the conversation between the two. The lady was asking how often this clerk worked and she replied "usually 5 days a week" Then she asked how old the clerk was and she replied that she just turned 80!
I have seen this clerk almost every time I'm there and I never hesitate to choose her lane because she is always the "fastest kid on the block" she literally scans items and puts them in bags wicked fast, I would have never guessed in a million years that she was 80 years old! She also said her husband passed away several years ago and was working because it was nice to interact with all the customers.
Well, this impressed me so I went on Walmart.com and left a nice review for this 80-years-young employee
PS: When I turn 80, I'm totes gonna get a job as the Walmart Greeter (yes, it's a real thing) then I am going to make a ton of small posters on popsicle sticks with all the Sarcastic Memes I've posted here over the years and see how long it takes to get kicked out of Walmart Rolling Along

This is my first and last foray into this thread. Yikes!
Makes me glad I haven't ventured into the local Walmart in over 3 years. Not that I ever noticed anything like this.

This is my first foray too Valkara and I'm just gobsmacked! OMG Like genuinely horrified that these people exist and walk around freely in the world. I've never encountered anything truly bizarre in Walmart or any other store. To be fair, some of these people are probably on their way to a costume party or lost a dare or something somewhat reasonable. The rest...well, this is what happens when you close insane asylums I guess! |
