lgtsia, you posted elsewhere that the hint system was upgraded in CH10 to where it sounds like maybe it'll give you more of a walkthrough-sort of thing if you press the Hint button enough? I'm not on Steam so will have to find out later, but this would make the game less "scary" in terms of the difficulty curve. The demo video I saw didn't show many of the levels, but from what I could tell, it seems like the game boards have also been simplified to where they aren't chock-full of obstacles like a few of the earlier games in all the series were. LOL will my walkthroughs no longer be required? (rofl)

Well... about the difficulty of the game. My colleague has told that he couldn't complete the game simply because levels are very tricky and full of surprises. :-)

Great to see you came back to social media lgtsia , so there aren't just fake pages out there anymore! I will keep on doing the WTs then unless a game turns out to be super easy (the L11 WT got no views from what I could tell and I found it to be so easy it was boring for me). If someone on your team couldn't do the CH10 levels though, I hope *I* don't get stuck either and not be able to make a WT...yikes!
P.S. - Since Pond Friends is not viewable by guest viewers anymore, there are probably people out there who when they get the error message don't realize they have to register for an account and login to view the WTs where I currently have them published. If you want, I could send you Word documents of my WTs for you to publish elsewhere? Another developer whom I beta test for published a copy of the WT I did for a game of theirs on their website, but as far as I know, you don't have a website?

Yes, you can play against the time! But there's no "limited moves" mode.
Please note that there are levels where you should choose a right assistant to complete level on time.

I am curious: why did FRH Games change their name to LGT SIA?, and dare I ask what LGT stands for?

@valdy , this is just a guess based upon the credits screen which only appeared in Laruaville 1 and has never appeared in any other game by them, but I think the "LGT" is the initials of the surnames of the main development team and "SIA" is like "inc." or "ltd." - they're a Latvian company and that's the equivalent. I don't know anyone on the team personally but it sounds like there were some changes with the team with different people leaving over time, so the current group decided to change their name to better reflect who they are now.

Thanks very much, SynthpopAddict. For a moment, when I saw the letters, I was thinking of something else. :o

lgtsia, I got distracted with other things so didn't get a chance to play the timed mode in CH10 until now. While the game is doable in limited moves if you slowly consider your next move, I'm finding that in timed, even if you know exactly how to solve the levels, you have to play insanely fast to not time out. Currently at level 42 and have come within 10 seconds of timing out in several instances already. If some of the games are going to stay in this more puzzle-like style, the timer should be adjusted to be a little more generous as that 2:30 or so per level which has been that way in pretty much every game of every series isn't quite enough.

Actually the game adjust timer depending on the player's skills. There's a base timer ( let's say, it is 2:30 ) and if the game see that player can't finish level on time, a time correction will be added next time.

lgtsia, that's much like how the game will give extra moves in limited moves mode if one restarts and/or fails a level enough times, but the timer just seems too short for all but the very fastest players in CH10, which I'd think is a bit unfair? I didn't struggle too terribly much, but did find myself having to restart levels strangely often, considering that I already know how to do all the levels. In earlier games, once I figured out what the "order of operations" was, it would usually only take me around 90 seconds to do the majority of levels, but this time I was really struggling with that in a lot of instances and it was taking me closer to 2 minutes or more, which is pretty dangerously close to timing out with the default timer. While I understand you want to keep Cursed House challenging, you also don't want it to be so overly hard people abandon the game out of frustration. In any case, I quite enjoyed the Runestone obstacle and the crafty way the levels were designed in CH10. :)

Thanks for the heads up lgtsia. I'm going to sit back for a bit and see what the commentary on L12 is first because I found the previous Laruaville to be too easy for me. They're good games, but the last one was boring to me. I can understand wanting to have an easy series for those who just want to relax though.
