MixoGames, I couldn't help myself with a new game biting me, so took a little break from my WT writing to play the Little Witchelsa game a bit. I'm not finished yet, but here's some feedback. Pros: -Great concept with having twists on the "pop to match" M3 levels where you have to pop strategically to clear ice and black pumpkins -Also love the spin on the clutter game where you have to match pairs to grow and change the items until you get the "top of the chain" things -You've got to think with using the powerups you create with bigger matches to clear the gold tiles in "traditional" M3 levels; all gold tiles are triple match -Nice little side game with the "wheel of fortune" spin the wheel game for freebies every so often -Cute storyline and characters Cons: -Limited moves only and moves counter is super tight...as in, I couldn't finish a few levels without having to buy moves! And I'm pretty sure I don't suck at this genre. -Very old-school style with having to wait for the tiles to finish moving before you can make another move -The ice spreads fast -You can often run out of moves to make in the "grow item" clutter games -You've got to wait for all the powerups to finish exploding and cascades to finish at the end of every M3 level, and having a big enough cascade/powerup thing going on at the end is apparently the ONLY way you can 3 star anything. I have no idea how you 3 star the clutter games because can't get better than 2. -There are just 26 levels? I don't know if more pumpkin patches unlock later, but I only counted 26 pumpkins in the patch I'm in.

Dear SynthpopAddict, I hoped you will like the game and for the detailed review/pros/cons. About the cons: - Limited moves: Yeah, I got feedback about it from somebody else. I think we need a difficulty mode or something... - Can't move during other tiles are moving: I'm not sure I got it, you can do moves but that is true they will be "checked" after they are steady. - Ice spreads fast: need that difficulty... :( - "Grow item" clutter: All the items should be there, maybe they are hiding under some other item; you can move them freely. - Level ending/powerup exploding part: yeah, it's tough, because, on the other hand, some players could argue that we steal their power-up points/stars if we don't explode them. Also, it will get shorter later as the levels have more colours/patterns on tiles. Levels: I think there are more than 60 levels (not sure how many :) ); after the black pine tree, you can scroll further right on the map. Anyway, I really for the review and all reviews/cons/pros are always welcome! Attila

MixoGames, Little Witchelsa was a nice effort, but it has its quirks for sure and I don't think it will be for everyone. Most M3 players these days are used to having a relaxed mode as an option and being able to make moves constantly regardless of whether or not there are tiles refilling somewhere. Check out the Jewel Match M3 games as an example; you can play those lightning fast. The having to wait for tiles to finish moving on the playfield before you can make another move is mostly in very old M3s like the early Jewel Quest games. While I understand Little Witchelsa is a lot more strategy-based so it's better that you are forced to pause between moves to consider what you'd do next, there were so few moves in almost all the levels that I could barely finish most of them without running out of moves. I play M3 games daily for at least 2-3 hours every day, and have been doing so for many years now, so it was kind of surprising that I had to buy moves several times and work at it that much to get through the game. I like the Lost Amulets series and Twistingo more, but thanks for a cute Halloween game (and Elsa was very clever at the end of the story). I still can't figure out how you'd 3 star many of the levels as it seems like a pure luck thing with getting enough powerups in the right places blowing up stuff quickly, and then getting lucky with the powerup/cascade sequence when the level ends for M3 boards. The clutter games, no idea how the stars work. Tried not missing pairs and playing faster, but still clueless because sometimes I get 3 stars, other times just one.

Dear SynthpopAddict , First of all, thanks for the review on Steam! :-* The difficulty/hardness: yes, I totally agree, and as I mentioned yesterday, I think I should add a difficulty option but I'm not sure when it could be done... though I intended to add it as soon as I can. Moving tiles: I'm still not sure about it, what do you mean by mentioning that you can't do moves during the other tiles are moving? ??? I will check the most recent JQ games to see what is the difference, though it's true, as I mentioned, it's not a new product, so there could be differences, for sure. I'm affraid I can't do too much about it at this moment. Finally, I'm sorry to hear that you were not satisfied by this game, your opinion is always important for me! I hope our next product would be a bit better. :'(

I hope our next product would be a bit better. You're welcome. Updating the Steam version to have a relaxed mode would make the game a lot more accessible for players who aren't hardcore M3 wizards, but I would completely understand if you don't want to do this, because the game probably already made most of its profit back when it released at BFG and other places a few years ago. It's a lot of work to "remaster" a game which might only get you a few sales per year now.
I didn't hate the game nor think it was completely bad. Just appeared more as if maybe it wasn't beta tested by several people outside of MixoGames?
As for "making moves constantly" - what I mean by this is that most modern M3 games, after you make a match with a drag on a playing tile, you can drag on another playing tile immediately for another move, no matter what else is going on in the level, even if pieces are refilling somewhere or bombs are going off (i.e. if part of the playfield is "empty" because it's refilling, it doesn't matter; you can make matches somewhere else in the playfield). In Little Witchelsa, you make a match or a pop, and then have to wait for everything in the board to refill before you can make another match or pop. You cannot make any matches or pops when part of the playfield is refilling. This used to be common in M3 games 15 or more years ago, but most fans today don't like the "old school" having to wait to make another move.

Dear SynthpopAddict, Yes, it is our sequel to Twistingo. It's very similar to the prev. game with a new story, new levels, plus a new solitaire mini-game, and, I think, with stunning artwork. It will be released in other places too - currently, we kind of soft-launched it on Steam a bit earlier. We will update the game a couple of times this week, to make sure that everything is smooth and polished. After that, about next week, we will start to promo the product. Though, this week it has 40% off Twistingo: Bird Paradise on Steam

$5.99 introductory sale price for a CE at Steam, can't pass this up even being broke right now! Off to play it. If it's broken will let you know MixoGames, but otherwise, thanks! :D I have a customized chorus to the tune of "Weird Al" Yankovic's "Trigger Happy" going in my head... " Because I'm marble, marble poppy/Yes I'm marble, marble poppy/marble poppy every day. [Luxor wild ball howl at end]"

MixoGames , I've played for about an hour or so and I like it. Will caution others that it is pretty "cloned" from the first Twistingo game...very re-skinned game with same music and pretty similar graphics, although the storyline is a wee bit different with more people in it, but still very hokey. Just how many times can storms wreck an island, and why can't the locals do more of their own repairs? But I like the birds and the theme of saving the eggs. You get to assemble the map of traveling through the game as you go along, which is a new feature. Instead of getting casino games to play this time for upgrading the island, you now get to play one-up, one-down solitaire where you try to uncover all the gold coin cards which I find more fair than the slot machine/Pachinko in the previous game. If you want a pretty screensaver-like thing to run on your computer while you're off doing something, check out the Gallery section in the CE extras which is a slideshow of assorted tropical scenery and soothing music. I'd still recommend shutting off the rotating numbers on the marbles unless you're really good at MPs and playing on easy. If you know how to play the first game, you'll know how to do this one right off the bat. The second "find all the bingo balls" level had a task of finding X number of rings and there seems to be one missing, as I looked and looked but there were only loose jewels and pendants left in the scene along with one bingo ball which I had intentionally left there while trying to find the missing ring. Couldn't locate the last ring and there were no other things to find except the bingo ball, so I eventually got the bingo ball to continue on. pennmom : Loki has been immortalized in the game! I think that's really sweet. <3
Update: I just discovered all the levels are replayable if you click on the push pin for that level in the map! Unfortunately, the push pins aren't labeled and seem only to be color coded (?) for the type of level (MP, HOS, clutter, bird's nest MP) so you have to guess at them if you're looking for a specific board to replay. I found the bingo ball #2 HOS and did finally locate the "missing" ring...you have to be very specific in clicking to pick it up. There is a different issue with it though in which one of the "keys" to find is actually a dart.

MixoGames, I put up a review at Steam for you a little while ago. Other than the game having too much HOG in it for me, the first 3 bonus MP levels, while not completely impossible to play anymore, are still total marble rage games because it's like the difficulty curve on them is 10 times harder than any other MP level in the whole game. Don't know why this is. You really don't want the majority of your MP levels to be multiple track because a lot of HOG fans are already scared of MP games and double-track MP levels were always the toughies in other games.

SynthpopAddict, MixoGames, You could always add a skip button if it gets too intense for players. I LOVE the HO levels. I just like the MP so I'm basically playing the MP to get to the HOs Rolling Along
