Grrrr! Ok, I'll be the first one to grumble! (Though I am having fun while I'm not otherwise yelling at the game). Dont think any of these are spoilers, so will just spit them out: - I hate seeing items I cannot pick up yet...mainly 'cause I'll forget where they are by the time I do need them. Though it is a pleasant change to not follow the typical HOPA ritual of picking of things even though you have no earthly idea why you might need or want them
- The whole Tutorial does NOT play at the beginning of the game. If you want to see the whole thing, rather than "intuit" some things, click on the Tutorial icon on the bottom right
- The game does NOT save your location within a puzzle, so if you are partway through one and quit the game, you will have to start the puzzle all over again from scratch if you go back into it. (And since some of the puzzles can take a number of steps to get right, this can be downright annoying...particularly if you've worked a long time on one and your brain is fried & you'd like a bit of rest before continuing on)
- Hotspots are not always obvious. A couple times when stuck, I had to just move my cursor slowly over the whole screen to see if there was another scene that would open
- There are an annoying number of jigsaw puzzle pieces floating around that you cannot pick up...until you finally find the Spell Book. Then you can pick them up whenever you see them, and can put them together (within the spell book) after collecting sets of 12
- I'm not sure yet what controls when you can play a minigame (as opposed to a puzzle, which is available immediately or when you've collected all the relevant pieces). One appears fairly early in the game, but so far will not let me do anything with it & does not tell me what I might need to do to embark on it...or even what its aim is

lurkercat , Gosh..that's adventure games for ya . At least this is one of the few I can actually do...and I like the ' skip' puzzle feature. It does take a lot of 'roll with it'... One tip..if you keep moving about..each scene gives you another hint to pick up..so up, down, up down..etc. I got frustrated when my hint kept hitting the door when I clicked on Anna...so I would go through there..and nothing?..I was missing the fact there was a fish above the door . It is one of my fave games...along with Varenji..because I can actually 'get there eventually'..and not get totally stuck! I am not a very experienced adventure player. Hang in there lurkercat

I am late to the party, last night I finally attempted the massive amount of steps to get upstairs (ok, in reality only 14, but it may as well have been a giant spiral staircase mansions have) the steps were easy, the final landing was difficult because there is no banister to hop 1 footed onto the landing...with a little help, made it and I got to take a shower since the accident...and sleep in my bed! But then I had to wait till hubby woke up this am to get back downstairs & he sleeps longer than I do :(
I'm telling y'all this cuz in 2 weeks I'm thinking my right leg will be practically bionic and my arms will be able to lift small vehicles with ease!
Let the games begin Anna awaits

Got a late start - woke up with a runny nose and sore throat - but after needing some time to get used to the game it's fun, couple of the mini games frustrated me a bit but that could be the cold (thanks granddaughter lol)

I'm at the same place as joybelle..the music note replication took me forever to figure out what to do, anyone else have issues with that?

Taking a minute to check in. It took me a minute to get used to the different type of game play but I'm really enjoying it. So if anyone is still on the fence to join because it's an adventure game and a bit different from our regular HOPAs, it's really quite easy and fun. The hint system is very generous too. I'm glad I joined.

Well one box of kleenex later I'm at the castle. Having fun and too miserable to do anything else like laundry.

LOL... so Anna is a sensible girl, and she doesn't collect items until she knows she needs them... So for the well she needs to find a rail - she doesn't know on this point, that she will need a rope and bucket...lol.. She is very sensible, indeed.
For me to find the pieces of things is actually not that easy. I caught myself frantically clicking around, and hunt for the hint-pieces more than for the actual items. But, it made me to realize something. I'm so TM oriented - and to be a good TM player one needs to be fast. To be a successful player for adventure games, one needs to be detailed and thorough. Once I'm able to "slow down", I will start to enjoy this, otherwise totally adorable, game much more. Right now, I'm missing 1-1 piece of all the items she is interested in to pick up, and I get annoyed, when I find something and she wouldn't bend for it. Anna is a very stubborn girl...lol. (C'on, girl, you know, you'll need those, too on one point! Just hoard them up, will ya?)
Anyways, I'm still in the house, trying to re-find the bucket, Anna didn't need yet when I actually saw it.

I'm still in the swamp, trying to finish freeing Zoe. Item searches are currently easier here than back at Anna's house. Puzzles are way easier too. Guess I still have to go through a rail car to get to the scenes joybelle & pennmom were at this morning, and then through whatever is there before following y'all to the castle. Am I the only one who thought the rope puzzle leaving Anna's home for the fishing shack was hard? Didnt think I'd ever get through it! Being able to only move the topmost ring on a stack made it way harder than normal tangled-rope puzzles, I thought.

Just finished also. I only have the SE purchased this week with a punch card credit for this purpose. So . Would probably not have played otherwise and it was fun. Does anyone know how this compares to "My Brother Rabbit"?

Just finished also, It was a tad frustrating to find items you knew you would need and not be able to grab them. Usually forgot where I saw them lol. But it was fun kind of relaxing.

Does anyone know how this compares to "My Brother Rabbit"? I think My Brother Rabbit was more "adventurous" I think My Brother Rabbit is more like Tiny Bang Story but honestly I think I like that one better, but I do love this game! I'm slow moving lately so I'm just starting the game from where I left off CONGRATS to all who have finished!

lurkercat, joybelle, smitty189, good2bqueen, moni, I finished the Bonus Chapter which had a good length and less back & forthing required. I thought the puzzles were less frustrating although they took some time to solve.
My favorite 2 puzzles were using gems as bumpers to place into matching slots & the one that you had to move stones into place

I've already played this game before. I'm on my second round - currently I'm at the brothers. First time around I've skipped a couple of puzzles, I thought, they were unreasonably difficult compared to the light nature of the game itself. Right now, I'm trying to be a good girl, and do all the puzzles. I still find some of them confusing. It is a nice game, but to be honest, it didn't make it to my favorites. It is more an elaborate hidden object game than an adventure game. It is still fun to play it together with others. Thank you. Spinning Daisy
