Hello erma, I'm trying to find this game to see if I can help you. Where did you buy this game from?

Oki. I found the game, and it has "relaxed mode" for unlimited moves. Have you tried to change your setting to relaxed mode?

SynthpopAddict has a Tips & Tricks thread for this game over at the Pond, but no walkthrough and no comments that indicated they were specific to Level 17. Looks like several folks here have played it based on comments in its thread, so maybe they'll respond when it's morning in Oz?

Seeing that your main problem is the limited moves, you can just switch to "relaxed mode" - and pass that level with unlimited moves, just to advance in the game - you can always switch back to normal mode during the game. I think, that would save you from some hair-loss.
For any case, I haven't even attempted to play this game in "normal mode" - it was still very enjoyable for me. I will try with limited moves, too.

Welcome to the woods, erma! It's been a few months since I played MV3, but there is no timed mode in it - it's either limited moves or relaxed mode. If switching to relaxed mode doesn't get you out of the problem, I suspect that you have a required tile to clear hiding underneath some kind of covered tile someplace. If you click on the minimap icon down in the bottom left corner (?) - I think that's where it is - the dialog will tell you what required items you haven't gotten yet. In my experience, it's usually the metal grates which trip people up in this series. If the grate is just a plain silver looking one, there's no tile under it, but if it's golden or red looking, you need to blast the grate with some kind of bomb in order to reach the tile below. Hope that helps. In case you aren't aware of the Pond Friends forum lurkercat mentioned, the link for that is pondfriends.boards.net and you'll have to register for an account there too. It is a ProBoards forum like this one, but I think the software version at Pond Friends is older than the software here. My tips guides and walkthroughs are under the BFG Daily Games sub-forum called Help and Tips with the exception of 1 or 2 WTs, but if you can't find a guide of mine, let me know.
