Anyone out there already on Windows 11? I am getting prompted to download it...what is the difference, and what should I be aware of? Is it good or not. Await your advice on whether to stall the ínstall or not for as long as posibble LOL...or just go for it. I chose 'stay on windows 10 for now'...I guess they will ask me again. Cheers Mate

joybelle , been on windows 11 since I got my new puter last year, the only thing I notice is the window emblem in not on the left, all icons are centered on the task bar. There is a weather icon on the bottom left, but honestly I don't remember what 10 looked like I did find this

I have installed it!! It is all working...and the only thing different is where the tasks are sitting. As you say..the search bar and windows icon is in the centre. Everything else is the same. Took about 2 hrs to get and install. And even though my device was fit for purpose..it still does say on that list above it only runs on devices intel 8th gen. So we will see what happens on my intel corei7 eh! It's running just fine and my windows update page said I could have it...so go figure?

How many of the old games will still run on Windows 11 I wonder? That would be my biggest concern. I would hate to lose old favorites.

orionsrose, good2bqueen, So far I already had many older games NOT playing on windows 10 when I upgraded my computer to 64 bit. Many of the 32 bit games would not open. I did lose a few...but mostly my main ones are ok (well enough that I am not too heartbroken...I sooked a bit over 'When in Rome TM'..must admit LOL!) I am going to spend some time on the weekend checking out my 'saved' games to see. Will let you know if it made a difference.

orionsrose, good2bqueenI have been able to play a ton of older games that I actually couldn't play on Windows 10 because they way too stretched out to even get to the play button. I couldn't play Cradle of Persia on windows 10 because the cursor would fly all over the place but it works on #11!

I CAN PLAY IT!! It came up in windowed mode so I could reach the play button just as you said pennmom , I did put it back on full screen...and I could not reach the play button again...but at least 11 brings it up windowed so I can at least love it again. It was such a favourite. Now it is again LOL Yep I will absolutely go through my games...I had quite a few like that. So there ya go folks. Some games will play on 11 that did not play on windows 10. I could however still not open one at all so nothing changed there...but its worth checking them all again. WHOO HOO!

I think there is no need to rush with W10>W11: - I don't want to be a free beta tester for Microsoft, I need to work on my PC and not wait and hope if and when they fix something broken - there is no game that will only work on W11
When I buy a new PC in a few years (2-3?), it will be with W11 (or W12?). I won't change anything on my current one (W10/Pro).
