I'm hoping to play too, if my ailing computer cooperates. This one was small enough to download without my computer locking up (as it is now wont to do frequently, alas), so I'm hoping. Really enjoyed the demo for this game so have been looking forward to it.

Anyone playing this game?? Quite fun, imho. I'm loving solving all the little problems in it and getting to feel inordinately clever each time I progress... ...errr, well I was till I came to a dead stop in Chapter 2, having solved all the problems available to me that I had either the implements or smarts to do, having found every "useful item", having revealed each room and/or remaining puzzle area...and stuck with nothing left to do and no way to progress! Had to consult a walkthrough, only to discover an "obvious, not obvious" consideration I'd overlooked...and which seemed like something others might easily overlook too. Wound up seeing a bit more than I wanted to in finding my spot in the walkthrough, so figured I'd add a spoiler with just the "nudge" in case anyone else finds themselves in the same spot & doesnt want to risk seeing some additional spoilers if they are similarly tempted to resort to a walkthrough. Where I was at: In the room with the fireplace, having just solved the "connect the lines" picture on the wall to the left of the fireplace (and accidentally broken the keypad lock inside by just randomly depressing some of the keys). Clearly what I want to do next is solve the problems in the pool area right outside the sliding glass door in this room, but the only thing in my inventory is a valve & nothing else seems available. The solution, duh, is {Spoiler}to not forget that just 'cause I got into the house in the very beginning of the game, that doesnt mean I may not need to go BACK OUT THE FRONT DOOR that I entered through (ie, right click out of the fireplace room, and then right click out of that room (the first one entered in the house)). Duh, once I was in the house, I totally forgot to think I might ever want to go outside there again!! Wondering if I'm the only one to miss this "obvious, not obvious" move. Bat To Computer duh!

So, I'm in a locked cell with a bomb... This Ruby biatch goes on my nerves. Come To Your Senses Man! But, what a captivating, excellent little escape room game this is!!! Lots of back tracking though, with no ingame map, so some time has spent with running wild around in Ruby's glass house and double, triple x x x check everything again. With no hint button, this game is a real challenge for me, though once I found a solution the puzzles themselves are quite easy. Pity, not many of us playing. sigh.

I'm at Chapter 4 - stuck, as usual. Played all night, and I still cannot express how enchanting this game is packed with unusually normal tool usage. I.e... a screw is loosened with a screw driver (you need to find first, of course), not with a coin - locks are opened with keys, not paperclips and whatnots. There is a real detective skill required, sometimes logical thinking, everything is a clue in this game, so don't look over patterns, color schemes, phone numbers, or any kind of numbers - they are all there to make you perform the right action. There are no wild things (ghosts, monsters, zombies) roaming around, still plenty of mystery and things to scare you, and the plot is clearly against you, as Agent A - Ruby sets various traps, booby traps, bombs all designed to kill you - that's her mission. And what a fiendish little villain she is!
The game still requires a seasoned adventure/puzzle player, by my opinion (which I'm not; I did have to pull out a notebook and a pencil to jot down things) - there is absolutely NO hints and skips of any kind. For this reason, even though the graphic of the game is cartoonist, I found it very life-like, and very James Bond-ish. It's full with spunks - playing it all night I'm not just not tired but all perked up. My only cons about this game are the truckload of backtracking (I need to revisit rooms and places to see what did I miss or where did I see that damn keyhole), and that it hasn't replay value - once I figured out all the twists and pranks on my own, it will be hard to completely forget.

I've finished. I've enjoyed it through and through, even if my game group was me, I and myself. Family Great game. I hope for a sequel.

Sorry, I've been awol. Trying to fix my computer and latest attempt wound up taking up an unexpectedly long time with computer being disabled (trying to clone my hard drive, which took 6 days of down time (compared to the hour or so it probably should have taken if the clone machine had really worked at its stated speeds). Figured it took so long because my old hard drive was in fact faulty (in spite of various tools saying it was ok) & just took way too long to retrieve data...which matched the symptoms I'd been having of computer frequently locking up with disk pegged at 100% usage and some read/write activities taking double-digit seconds to complete vs the milliseconds they should have taken. You've NO idea how thrilled I was when I put in the new hard drive and the machine actually came up - and with all my original data, registry values and game statuses still intact. Unfortunately, I'm not sure whether the problem has been fixed or not, since the machine was stuck at 100% disk usage. Hoping perhaps it was just adjusting to the new H/W & my antivirus trying to catch up with everything it had missed while it was down....but dont know yet. Will have to run for a bit to see if things settle down & behave soon. (It WAS exciting to have the machine with all its guts hanging out & yet still at least start again!!). Anyhow, sorry you felt like you were playing alone moni! I got to Chapter 4 before shutting my machine down for the cloning & really was having a great time at this game. Lots of fun, imho!

moni , I'd hoped to find an Agent B. No such luck apparently, but there is another game by these developers (Yak & Co) out on Steam: Down in Bermuda. Looks to be a similar art style to Agent A....and is on sale at Steam for $1.99 until March 13. store.steampowered.com/app/1107300/Down_in_Bermuda/

moni, I just bought Down in Bermuda, and gotta admit, I'm not loving it nearly as much as Agent A. Mainly 'cause it is hard to figure out what my objectives are and there are fewer puzzles to solve. Seems more like it wants to be more an HO game than a puzzle game, and the HOs are boring - mostly glowing orbs that make some quadrilateral open up (and there's even a map you eventually find that tells you where they are in case it is not evident otherwise!), and a few assorted keys, relics, etc. Navigation is yukky (lateral, rotate, and zoom). Lots of things to click on but few are useful. Maybe it will improve as I understand goals better, but so far, it is definitely no Agent A.

I only watched the trailer, and I wasn't convinced either, so I just put it on my wishlist to think about it. But for giving me a heads up - I probably won't get it then, he he. I got a few escape room games recently, they looked more on par with Agent A, thewoodsforum.boards.net/post/30865/thread and they were in a bundle and on sale. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed Agent A; I think this game is unique and I didn't have one dull moment playing it. What I don't really understand, I've finished the game, but I only got half of the achievements; maybe I was slow or ran around much empty handed :o
Say, have you played the Nancy Drew games? I got a couple of those, too, thinking they are detective/mystery games. Are they?... are they good?

moni, I got 13 of the 30 achievements. If you look at what some of the achievements are on Steam, you'll easily see why you didnt get them all. A number of them are pure exotica and have NOTHING to do with playing/progressing in the game (like "Find all the spider webs in the game", "Give Gunther (the Norwegian bird at the seaside) the hiccups", "Fire the rifle at the target 100 times (ummm, why would I want to?)", etc). I've played a couple of the Nancy Drew games but do not like them. I find them tedious and think the navigation controls are absolutely atrocious - poorly responsive, far more complicated/labor intensive than necessary, etc. Only one of the Nancy Drew's I've tried that I actually liked was one that was distinctly different from the typical game in the series & was part of what seems to be a spin-off series to appeal more to HOPA players. That one was "Nancy Drew Dossier: Resorting to Danger". On the other hand, I also tried another of the Dossier games ("NDD: Lights, Camera, Curses") and hated it, so if the Dossier offshoot was to broaden the appeal, it was not universally successful, at least for me. Appreciated your earlier alert about the Escape Room games. Looked really enticing, but I saw it too late to do anything about them & am still cautiously evaluating whether my "fix" really repaired my computer (seems to have improved things, but some serious problems still exist I fear). I'll be interested in hearing your takes on each of those games as you complete them, and hope they go back on special once I'm sure I've got a working computer again. Like you, I really enjoyed Agent A, and hope Yak & Co. make another game more like it.

Ouch! No more Nancy for me then. I will try out one of the escape room, I didn't want to start them - if they are just a little bit close to Agent A, I won't sleep for a week! They were hanging on my wishlist for a good while, and went on sale a couple of times - this last sale was the offer I couldn't refuse.
