Doesn't matter if you like it hot, cold, or both.

Hot black coffee in the morning and slightly sweetened, no lemon, iced tea the rest of the day except for Italian roast for my afternoon coffee break.

I drink coffee in the morning and early afternoon. Then if I'm cold I'll drink hot tea. Last year I wanted a electric tea pot with temp sets for each tea types for my birthday, it's so nice. I don't drink tea in the Summer.

Coffee way back in the day. I used to do Gevalia. European Coffee Houses. Liked Spain the best. Also Costa Rica Pea berry. They had chocolate cake favored for the Christmas Holidays. Started costing too much so went to Hills Brothers and favored Dunkin Donuts coffee.
Have Dunkin Donut favors Cinnamania, Blue Berry Muffin and Pumpkin Spice. They used to have Gingerbread but haven't seen it for years.
I drink black or with milk. Don't like Starbucks.

I'm primarily a pod person. That's a Keurig pod person, not an Invasion of.
And use mostly Gevalia Dark Royal Roast. Black, no sugar. I think I'm going to have to change flavors because Amazon hasn't had it lately. I also keep Mosaic Italian Roast for in the afternoon. That's the Gordon Foods brand but it's really good coffee. I also use the Mosaic Italian Roast Whole Beans. I've got a one serving grind and brew. This one that I found on Amazon. Works really well but I'm mostly too lazy to use it every day.
Not much into flavored coffees. Once in while I'll buy flavored liquid creamer but I forget about it until after it goes bad and then I throw it out. I may need to change my system.
My preferred tea is Red Rose. My family has been drinking it for five generations including my kids and the grandgirls. I will buy Tetley if I can't find Red Rose. That's from my Northern side of the family. Not into flavored teas at all because I never drink it hot. My husband drank hot tea - regular. My mother is from Alabama so I grew up on Southern sweet iced tea. Outgrew that so now a pitcher has half sugar and half Splenda and a very small amount of each - 1/4 cup each in a 1/2 gallon of strong tea. And I make iced tea the Southern way - bring it to a boil on the stove.

I NEED THAT KETTLE! pennmom, do you have a link? I started out drinking cream and sugar with some coffee when I was about 13. At some point I switched to tea, Constant Comment was my favorite for a looooong time. Then I went back to coffee. When I was about 22, I went to the doctor about consistent headaches and we tried cutting out caffeine to see if it helped. I switched to decaf and it did wonders for my head. Turns out I also had a rapid resting heart rate and caffeine wasn't really good for me. I could've done without the snarky comments about how useless decaf is, though. I never drank coffee for the effects caffeine has on people. I could drink a cup and fall asleep for a nice long nap after! Anyway, after years of decaf coffee/tea, I went to half-caf, and then to caffeinated and my doctor was OK with the change. As for coffee places, Starbucks has horrible coffee but they have my favorite drink: Caramel Brulee Latte. I get it with blonde roast and it's really good. Their normal roast is the worst thing ever. Luckily, it's a seasonal drink because I got 2-3 a week and killed our budget. LOL We don't have Tim Horton's and I've never had Dunkin'. Dutch Bros is the way to go because with the exception of eggnog or pumpkin drinks, "seasonal" isn't in their vocabulary and you can get just about any drink they've ever offered WHENEVER YOU WANT. Take that, Starbucks. If you've read this far, you're amazing. When I turned 40 (5 years ago), my stomach said, "well, it's been nice but you can't have anymore coffee" and to prove it, if I drank coffee I was on my bed, in a ball, while my stomach twisted itself into knots and made me feels like I was going to die. With the exception of Starbucks, as long as I ate something before I had coffee, I could handle it, but I switched back to tea which is really my first love. <3 After a very expensive taste test, I drink Taylors of Harrogate Earl Grey 95% of the time. With cream to cut the acidity and sugar because I like sweet. for coming to my lecture about caffeine, coffee, and tea. Here's a cookie.

lisabella, WOW I wonder if you are allergic to caffeine, is it possible to be allergic to caffeine??? here is the link on Amazon to that electric tea kettle galaxy told us about www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-CPK-17-PerfecTemp-1-7-Liter-Stainless/dp/B003KYSLNQ?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DERI've always preferred tea over coffee and I started drinking a ton of Diet Coke in high school. Eventually I weaned myself from all caffeine for almost a decade! After our house fire things were chaotic, routines were out the window and we were eating breakfast provided by the Hotels we stayed at (which was during the 4th of July weekend so we had to search for a new Hotel every day because they were booked) Lunch & dinner were either fast food or dine in and it was stressful beyond imagination...and like a long lost friend, Diet Coke started calling my name. I told myself it was only temporary but it's been 2 years now; Caffeine has me wrapped around it's jittery little heart :(

pennmom, for the link! I don't *think* I am because I drink it now, though mostly in tea and not coffee. I get headaches a lot and at the time, I think caffeine was not helping the situation. I not only switched to decaf, I stopped eating chocolate! 3 years ago was when I started getting daily headaches and I suffered through a year of them before I finally told a doctor and got an appointment with a neurologist. Things have been better since then. I actually drink caffeine-free Coke! During the pandemic Coke stopped producing it (but they produced every single other flavor they make) and when I finally saw it on shelves again, I shrieked right in the middle of the grocery store and then cried. Caffeine really has no hold on me although if I have a nasty headache/migraine, I will drink a regular Coke along with taking one of my prescribed pills to see if helps. My husband is definitely addicted to it. If he doesn't have his caffeine, he gets terrible headaches.

Wow, I love all this conversation about tea, coffee, caffeine, and kettles! Didn't expect such interesting discussions when I posted the poll. Very cool. I hate coffee, like with a passion (love the smell though). BUT I suffer from chronic migraines (as in every.single.day.) and found out that Tim Horton's Iced Capps helped my head a lot. That wasn't a sustainable habit (too expensive, too much sugar, too far away) so I started making my own simple iced coffees with fun-flavoured coffees and low-fat chocolate milk (no extra sugar or syrups, etc). I drink one a day and I have learned to tolerate it because it helps immensely. Caffeine does little for me as far as waking me up (like lisabella I could easily nap after), but it sure helps my migraines. I prefer flavoured coffee because it seems to tame the bitterness a bit. Cold brew is the nicest way to do it, but it never seems to have enough caffeine so I make it hot and chill it in the fridge. 3 years ago I discovered an awesome company, Java Works, that makes fun flavours so I buy their coffee exclusively now. My fave is their Vanilla Buttercream (it smells heavenly!). But this last order I got Maple, Butter Pecan (it's Pecan pie really), and Milk Chocolate Cream Egg. I like to try their various flavours for something different. My grandparents were born in Canada, but were very English in many ways so I started drinking tea quite young. I freaking LOVE tea (very strong tea). Most of my life it was just my fave Tetley...nice and basic, but lovely. Then I discovered flavoured teas and now I love tea even more. My favourites are Blood Orange, Maple, and Neapolitan Ice Cream (sounds crazy, tastes wonderful). I also make my own iced tea blends in summer like blackberry green tea with blackberries from my yard, and citrus black tea with lemons and oranges. As for kettles, that Cuisinart used to be my dream kettle until I learned about avoiding plastic touching the boiling water and sadly I decided that kettle wasn't for me. In the end I picked this kettle and I love it! It's a little...mmm...fancy-looking for me, but a wonderful kettle overall. And since lisabella started it, here's a cookie for getting this far!

orionsrose, I don't like coffee OR the smell of coffee and coffee grounds are even worse! I can't even drink something "mocha-flavored" but I do love a caramel vanilla cappuccino but that's because it tastes like hot chocolate Everyone is hooked on caffeine so it's a talkable conversation when we have lots of energy Bouncy Puppy

OH ya bunch of wimps... ... (I am only teasing folks )... But for me its coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee...followed by a little more coffee And after that...dark chocolate every day! 'Melbourne's love affair with coffee can be traced back to the arrival of Italian and Greek immigrants after World War II. As a generation of migrants brought their beloved European-style espresso machines to Melbourne, the espresso boom of the 1950s soon became a way of life.' What is special about Melbourne coffee? Melbourne prefers 100 per cent arabica, and that's reflected in the flavours here. Melbourne is at the cutting edge of sourcing, roasting and brewing specialty coffee, with filter-style brews and single origin espresso on many cafe menus. Why is Australian coffee so much better? Australian coffee is espresso-based drip-style coffee, which makes it much stronger than American coffee. They make each drink individually and to order, so the coffee's not just waiting in the pot for the next customer's cup. Does Melbourne make the best coffee? Why is melbourne famous for coffee? Lucky for us Melbourne is one of the world's foremost destinations for coffee—producing global barista champions, award-winning roasts, and paving the way for how coffee is brewed and poured world over.3 Mar 2023

I can't stand the taste of black coffee, way too bitter and strong and overpowering. But add 1/2 & 1/2, which cuts the bitterness AND acidity, and I'm usually good. I do, of course, add sugar but this is all at home so I can control it. (I have no gallbladder so I really have to watch the acid in the things.) If I get a "frou frou" coffee, it's usually just once a week when I do my early morning grocery run so I have something to wake me up-since the caffeine doesn't give me energy, the warm coffee usually does the trick. orionsrose, I can't do flavored teas! Especially fruit. Just give me black tea, unflavored if it's iced, and Earl Grey for hot. Can you tell when I was a kid I liked my cheeseburgers plain, ! lol
