smitty189, I just started playing, it is a cute game and I love that you just have to figure out a few things in each area I've got some outside work to do so for now I'm just at the room with the dog but I got eaten twice!

Ok, I am in serious awe of those of you who have gotten this far!! I couldnt even get anywhere after landing on the alien planet EVEN THOUGH I'd found all the hotspots & knew how the various components worked. The "method" for progress never even would have occurred to me. I've finally gotten myself to the chamber below the alien's "assembly line" but gee, only by dumb luck & occasional extra clues. Part of my problem is that the components/pieces are so tiny and indistinct that I often either dont see them at all or, seeing them, have no concept of what they are, or find my "plans" frustrated by things apparently not being useful or achievable. For instance, in the room with the refrigerator, I wanted to be able to turn out the light so I could sneak up on the alien in the next room...but couldnt keep the light out. Perhaps that will eventually be possible?? And in the room with the bugs, I thought the "cat" was a leaf (so who knew its capabilities) and yet found a different creature (above & to the right of both the cat & the bug), but all I could get him to do was occasionally peek out of his little knothole. Hmmm, perhaps eventually my little mind will sync up with the developer's mind & mechanisms....but I'm sure not the least bit hopeful of that! Cute game but I doubt I'm smart enough to succeed at it. I remain in absolute awe of your progress!!

Well, that was a short game!
I loved the noises Samorost made whenever he did something. The hardest thing for me to figure out was the bubbles at the end and the bubble pump.
What's up with the dude sitting on a rock with a real face? It was creepy. The very next scene shows a normal cartoon character?? (Captain)

Well, that was a short game! Duh, well perhaps for those of you who could figure out how to do anything!! By the time I (finally!) got to the fat alien and the dog, I had TOTALLY forgotten it was MY dog and that my intent was to RESCUE him!! I was trying to leave the room without taking him (thinking he was just the alien's dog) 'cause the goal of the game had completely left my little mind by then! And had to capture the methane multiple times 'cause I "missed" the refueling slot after bringing it back, even though I knew the necessary steps by then. Oh well, at least it only took 1 failure till I got it right. Of course by then my taxi driver had fallen asleep again & I had to wake him up yet again too. Thought the game was clever, but I probably would have enjoyed it far more if some of the components were larger so the necessary mechanisms/steps were easier to discern. Tiny pieces and poor visibility made for frustration rather than challenge, I thought.
