mercuryminerva for your speedy response, which I greatly appreciate. I've only purchased games from BFG starting way back in 2011, and therefore, I'm just familiar with their site. If I were to purchase a game from Legacy Games, what would be their equivalent of BFG's Collector's Edition?

I have been trying to order games for the BOGO on Big Fish only to be told there is a server error. I cleaned my cache and did everything on my end but the same thing happens over and over. Now I can't even renew Big Fish membership as they have declined my card. Why? I use the same card before and they accepted it but not anymore.
I tried to start a new account but to no avail. Maybe this is telling me to call it quits on Big Fish. Perhaps it is time to look elsewhere for my gaming needs. I will look into all the above suggested sites.

Legacy Games is the perfect site for HOPA fixes. They eventually become available on Steam because BF has "exclusive" rights for a month or two and I'm okay with that. I just bought Panmorphia & Panmorphia Enchanted on Steam ($1.04 & .99cents!) and they both look really interesting store.steampowered.com/app/1421690/Panmorphia/store.steampowered.com/app/1494310/Panmorphia_Enchanted/

On the forum statistics, it says this particular thread gets a ton of direct clicks to this forum.
I just figured out why today:

And then I came across this random information...WOW, since implementing the new Point system in August of 2022, BF has lost 50% of its revenue since last year, AND it is the worst sales they have had since at least 2015! (the only years showing on the graph)
Granted, they reported 288.94 million for the entire year of 2022, and they still have 3 months to go in 2023, but '21-'22 should be skewed numbers because, technically, they SHOULD have sold more games during Covid when everyone was in lockdowns at home.
Big Fish Games worldwide from 2015 to 2023 YTD Between January and August 2023, casual gaming company Big Fish Games, the publisher of titles such as the Drawn series or Hidden Expedition series, generated 158.76 million U.S. dollars, compared to 288.94 million U.S. dollars for the full year 2022.

Well, what do they expect when they make everything so non-US unfriendly? I've pointed out to them that this points system and new pricing policy means that I now buy as many games in a year as I used to in a month because I can no longer afford them.
I've encountered this "security key" error for Jewel Match Atlantis 4. How long is a reasonable wait for them to get that straightened out? It's been 10 or so days since I first told them about this. I emailed them after 8 days and said if they don't get this resolved SOON, I want a refund.

pennmom, That's very interesting information. I'm a little surprised that it's that drastic. This can't be caused by just their premium/mobile divisions losing sales but it also means the gambling/F2P arms of the company have taken hard hits. I'm wondering how much this has to do with lack of customer service and how much has to do with the slipping quality of games. I'm sure dicking around (sorry for such a crass term but it is the most accurately descriptive one I could think of) with the membership rules and price points has a lot to do with it. It would be interesting to see their profits by region. We've certainly heard our members from countries other than the US express concern with the price of games.

Yeah. BFG should rethink their uniform $19.99/CE, $9.99/SE pricing system - not all CE has created equal. While the great ones would sell at any price, the cookie cutters should be dropped on a steep sliding scale :D I had bought countless of games on Steam for 1-2 dollars, sometimes even for cents which games are still offered on BFG for 19.99, just because for a dollar I wouldn't be as disappointed if the game would turn out to be horrible. While gamers are tend to be loyal, they are not stupid. I still go to BFG, see what I would want to have, I may even play the demo... lol...then go to other gaming sites and buy the game from the one offers it for less, sometimes much less. I used to be a loyal big fish - swimming in the cozy pond not minding (not even knowing about) other places. Since I've joined to this forum I've smartened up, and became a hunter. ( all here, btw!)
So I buy games from: Steam, GOG, Fanatical, Legacy, Epic, and from the Game Give Away (the free ones, thanks lurkercat)... and haven't bought any from BFG, since my dollars go further on any of these other sites.
I believe, BFG has become, unorganized (so difficult to browse), unfriendly, unsupportive, quality-less and very expensive. Feels like the pond got some good shower of acid rain, or something... Though I hope, they will keep enough customers to keep going. I don't want all the games I have from them to kiss good bye.

Feels like the pond got some good shower of acid rain, or something To me, this is the saddest part because I remember when they had amazing CS (and amazing games) I truly believe BF is just being steered in the wrong direction by Larry Plotnik or whatever his name is. They wanted to concentrate on the mobile aspect and decided it didn't matter what happened to the PC division. Now the mobile aspect isn't paying the bills and it may be too late to change course back to PC games because they pushed so many members out the door with some of the worse CS and poor business decisions that hurt both the developers and long-time, loyal members. The bottom line is, a company should NEVER take loyalty for granted. To this day, they have never bothered to ask their loyal PC gaming members for an opinion, before, during or after. Clearly they aren't doing well but they still aren't willing to turn to their PC casual gamers for help to try to stop the bleeding. It saddens me because they used to be an amazing company led by an amazing CEO.

I emailed them after 8 days and said if they don't get this resolved SOON, I want a refund. Apparently a firm "I want a refund" is the magic phrase. I wrote again to remind them how long it's been since I encountered the problem, how many times I emailed in the meantime, mentioning that I'd followed all their instructions and nothing worked, and had finally reached the point of just wanting a refund since the game was unplayable for me. They sent a security key, it works, and they said it should work for any other game I might have a problem with (that doesn't fill me with confidence; just how often does this issue come up, anyway?). Oh, and the game is due to come out on Steam (not sure when; I just looked it up in case that's where I'd need to get it if Big Effing Gougers didn't come through).

There is no way to contact anyone at Big Fish by phone. I have sent numerous tickets to their customer service department and have received no answer. Once I was not able to renew, I decided to quit them for good.
As for their new point system, I wasn't thrilled about it at first but learned to use it effectively.
It is interesting how much money they have lost because of their new policies. I'm guessing many people had credits they weren't able to use so they decided to leave.
And yes, $20 for a CE game is ridiculous.

I have a policy of not supporting anything in the form of monthly fees - and if one quits, one loses everything.
That's why I don't want GameHouse and similar services. I want to buy it once and be able to play it forever. That's why I prefer BFG. But ever since I found out that some of the same games are on Steam for a fraction of the BFG price, I've been buying them there.
I do buy some games on BFG now though, most recently Legendary Mosaics 1-3. Games that you can't get elsewhere in a one-off payment. And it annoys me a lot that there are a lot of games I want that I can't buy, neither on BFG nor on Steam. For example, I want:
Clear It 14, 15, 16 Match Marbles 1-7 Season Marbles - Spring
If anyone knows a place where these games can be bought (not for $20 + VAT in EU per piece), please give a link, thanks a lot! Clear It is up to number 13 on the BFG only. Season Marbles has 3 episodes there, Spring is missing. And Match Marbles is not on BFG at all.
Of course I know where you can steal these games (warez), but I don't want to do that.

What the heck is this? The popup on my BF game manager this morning. And here's the page at BF with 51 fun sized games. Is this like fun sized candy?

They're games that are usually $3.99 but are currently on sale. At least from what I can tell. Doesn't seem to be much "flair" to the games.
