You're welcome ashmoor and congrats on getting the sequel to Daydream Mosaics out! In case anyone else is wondering, ashmoor still works for Suricate Software too, so he deserves some major kudos for being able to make so many gorgeous games. Even if you're not that much of a nonogram fan (I'm not really that into this genre) Daydream Mosaics is awesome! They're not brain-frying hard if you're a pro, but not only are these games amazing just to look at, but the second game you can solve all the levels logically without using the hints/powerups, at least on the first 2 difficulty levels. I know I've seen commentary elsewhere about some nonogram games not necessarily being that way every level.

You'll have to go back and play the first one too cyril50, even though it didn't have any storyline or minigames, still a very beautiful game. :)

cyril50, thanks, we're glad you are enjoying the game. If you run into issues or if you like anything in particular don't hesitate to let us know :) If people will enjoy the story we'll keep developing it in future releases, otherwise we might dramatically cut down on it. I have no idea when it will reach BFG but I hope it doesn't take as long as it took DDM1.

ashmoor , I'm hooked too and I'm not even a nonogram fan usually. I do have a few suggestions: -It would be nice if the popup texts which appear when you're on a roll (no mistakes for a while) such as "lovely", "fantastic", etc. and the "color complete" text could be suppressed in the game options. I find the text distracting because maybe I'm just THAT focused on a grid. But it's like the words are getting in my way. -I would prefer to simply hear the chime sound when a color is completed instead of the game automatically switching to another color. From what I can tell, the game always picks the topmost uncompleted color on the left column to switch to when the player finishes a color. Often, that color isn't the best one to use so I find myself manually switching around between the remaining colors until I find a better one to work on. -"Colored Number Background" doesn't add much to the game; I didn't even realize what the difference was between having it on vs. off for the darker colors even until I'd gone through the entire game a couple of times and was working on my 3rd run! When it's on for the lighter colors, makes it harder to see which row/column is highlighted. I finally turned it off as that makes seeing highlighted rows/columns easier.
Am hoping the story will continue on in the next game. Don't want to spoil it for those who haven't played or played all the way through yet, so I'm doing this in spoiler font below: {Spoiler} Since DDM2 is mostly about Juliette saving the Azure world, but Raven needs to do the same with the Crimson world as the current storyline hinted, am guessing if the story continues, we'll get to see the Crimson world next and Juliette crossing the portal? Fingers crossed. Still have to wonder how Lucas is going to fit into the bigger picture and if the elves aren't going to be upset. Update: It was posted elsewhere that DDM2 will be releasing at BFG this Sunday. :)

SynthpopAddict, I can add an option to turn off the notification and congratulatory captions. Will add it to my to do list :) As for auto switching the color, I'm pretty sure that keeping the completed color as current color will puzzle a lot of people. They will not understand what is happening. But I may add a checkbox for that in the options panel. I can also add a visual effect over the color buttons for making the color completion more obvious. "Colored Number Background" is working pretty well to reinforce the currently selected color. I use it all the time because sometimes I'm not sure what color I have selected and use that to double check. I think I should rather make the selected row/column more visible. I'll try to do that. "It was posted elsewhere that DDM2 will be releasing at BFG this Sunday." It seems so. I'm looking forward to the release and people's comments :)

I have Daydream Mosaics 1 bought on BFG, looking forward to 2 :-)
@ashmoore: if you would consider localizing DM games to other languages, I would prepare a translation to Czech (DM1: it is very easy, one plaintext file).

Ah. I forget that I always play with "Mask Revealed Pieces" on because looking at the entire image in progress overwhelms me and I wouldn't know what color I was on either without covering up the rest of the squares. Your idea to make the highlighted row/column brighter is a better idea. It's odd, but I usually don't know what the picture is even upon solving, until I look at the little thumbnail image in the end level dialog! My mind works very oddly, obviously...

Regarding the localization, I don't think publishers like BFG would be interested in a Czech localization but we plan to release both DDM1 and 2 on steam so we can do Czech localization for steam. DDM2 is pretty easy to localize as well, but there are 2 txt files to edit.

ashmoor, per your request in the DDM2 game thread to post about the restarting issue: I completed the game under the same player profile multiple times to earn all the stones. The game doesn't "restart" per se, but going to level 1 in chapter 1 is pretty much like "restarting" since the game keeps track of where you are in the puzzles by highlighting the next one in the sequence from wherever you left off upon. I don't see any other way a player could earn all the stones. If you make another player and pick one game mode, you'd only have one set of colored stones for whatever mode you're playing in, unless maybe you immediately replay the level 2 times in the other modes to get all 3 stones? Anyway, when you "restart" the game from level 1 and play all the way through, the story and associated HOS won't appear since all the temples have been built. For those who aren't sure what I'm referring to about the "stones", these are the colored achievement stones (green, blue, red) which appear by the game mode in the level thumbnail pictures when you're mousing over the level buttons, not the colored crystals which you find in the nonograms which are used for building the temples.

SynthpopAddict, ok, got it. I didn't consider replaying the game in its entirety. Will think of a solution to that.

DDM2 has a hot download flame by the game title and is the #1 puzzle game at BFG currently. Congrats ashmoor!

SynthpopAddict , thanks, that's great news, it means people appreciate our game. It entered Mac top 10 the other day but is now in 12 spot. I'll be working on the design document for the next game in the Daydream series. If you have suggestions and/or requests, now is the time. I also updated the first post with our social media links.

Thanks ashmoor for the Halloween treat. I posted my spoiler at PF earlier but in case anyone's curious: 1) Juliette's stocking 2) Hem of dress 3) Extra bar on windows in image on right 4) "Happy" is misspelled on the right, yikes. 5) Extra stars in rear foreground under steps
