pennmom , SynthpopAddict , cyril50 , joybelle , sonia (username @eskarina)I'm very sorry for the absence. Yes, we completed Suddenly Meow and we hope you like it. We are currently focused on a new title and hope to harness the new experiences and feedback received with Suddenly Meow to improve our next game. We will focus on: * New mechanics / puzzles * Improved help and explanations * More configuration options * Improved power-ups (allow bombs to break crates, etc., and enable morphing of power-ups) At the moment, for various reasons, we are a little behind on this new game. We hope to make up for lost time starting this week. All suggestions are welcome! We can't always implement them all, but your suggestions help us to identify weaknesses and try to strengthen those parts of the game. in advance!

ikigames, what about level 68? Believe it or not, I still get the air horns mixed up and blow them in the wrong order, which of course creates a mess. Noticed you have a video up at the IKIGames webpage for level 68 even, so I must not be the only one who thinks that level blows... All joking aside, you've already gotten my commentary elsewhere with suggestions for your future game. :)

I'm not surprised about level 45 because it's so easy to blow a stone into the pathway of a strawberry and wreak havoc since most people play M3s only by focusing on directly matching pieces and not considering that you could use matches to indirectly shift the strawberries should one become blocked by a stone. One of my personal challenges with any M3 is to play with the minimum powerups necessary or none at all, and level 45 is a beast to do this way. LOL if you can make me draw a blank on level 87...
Glad to see you published the Suddenly Meow WT on the Blog section of the IKIGames website too as it's unfortunate that Pond Friends isn't viewable by guests anymore and I suspect some don't want to create an account just to view a WT. Appreciate your adding on the videos. :D

I LOVE the challenges of the levels in Suddenly Meow - for level 68 I had to ask how to complete it with limited moves and got the video, thanks! ikigames , - please keep games like this coming!

We ruined the production of more DragonScales games for ikigames, methinks, because I'm guessing that the traditional M3s are selling better for them than DragonScales was. While I miss seeing more of the DS series, must say the M3s are great too. :)

I hope ikigames will pop in here soon with more details, but I just got an email from him this morning saying their latest game, Suddenly Meow 2, is now available for sale direct at their website. This is the PC version only, not sure when/if a Mac version will be available. 90 more levels of Tim the cat solving assorted conundrums with a M3 mechanic and cool minigames. WT to be published at Pond Friends shortly. Enjoy!
WT is now finished at Pond Friends under the section PC Game Help and Tips (not in the BFG subsection because BF has not released the game as of this posting).

pennmom, SynthpopAddict, cyril50, joybelle, sonia (username @eskarina)Hello, dwellers of the Woods :) Suddenly Meow 2 is already available here: www.ikigames.com/suddenly-meow-2/This sequel comprises several pawsome features, such as: 90 new levels More board items and actions Revamped battles Improved Tim's Hideout Stars to get extra coins Improved Help system Minigames: 2 HOS, 7 image halves scenes, and 9 image puzzles Localized versions of the game should be available soon. After completing localization we'll begin working on our next game immediately. We've received high-quality feedback from testers and players of Suddenly Meow 2, and are eager to implement them in our next game. A few of our original goals (e.g., automatic saving) will be discarded though. While certainly feasible, implementing automatic saving would be very costly at this point for us (as this implies not only an additional implementation cost, but extra testing time too). We hope you like the game :)

This sequel comprises several pawsome features, such as: Improved Tim's Hideout
"In my first adventure, I met Mary who gave me a wonderful home in her farm with plenty of cat toys, a roof over my head, a comfy hammock and carpeting, all the cat food tins I could ask for, and a fridge with fresh fish and beer along with milk which was worth my gold coins. Then I went out exploring the forest and met the forest fairies. You'd think magical beings would give me an enchanted enclave in the forest for a new hideout. Guess what? It's a single brick wall with a dirt floor in front of it and I still have to spend my gold to renovate it. And the stuff the fairies give me in exchange for my money isn't as nice as my place back at Mary's. But where's that sushi place?" -Tim the Cat
OK, well, Tim's being a cat there, but I will say the battle upgrades are still very useful and definitely worth the money! :D I quite liked the new help features, although the "hover help" for the morphing powerups does get a bit obnoxious to have on all the time. Thanks ikigames for a quality PC casual game, we don't get many any more!

ROFL Have you considered being a writer? I bet you'd be a fantastic fiction writer.
The hover help for the power-ups on board? Didn't we add an option to disable those? I think it was you who suggested that during the beta testing sessions and we implemented an option to hide them. Or you're maybe referring to a different behaviour we'll have to fix for our next game?
Well, today has been a productive day. Now I have to work on some paperwork.
Take care :)

ikigames, SynthpopAddict, sonia (username @eskarina), pennmom, joybelleThanks so much for pointing out we can purchase straight from you ikigames, and wow I am glad I did as you have dangled a carrot in front of me(Or should I say fish?) and could not resist buying this and it is every much as good as the first game and more. Love the new battle scenes. for all the help you are with your games and the instructions are very clear and plenty of them. These games are a challenge and they pull you in from the start to the fact that I just can not stop playing it now. Very few games do that for me anymore. Once again,

Yes, the hover help for the powerups which appear on the board if the player has "enable powerup generation" turned on is very useful for explaining what each powerup does and I like that the text is there, but having it on for the entire game is repetitive, so it's also great that you can turn that off after a bit.
Heh, paperwork...even in the game dev business one can't get away from it. Keep on truckin' and best wishes on your upcoming projects!

I came across the DragonScales series a few days ago, I started with the 6th episode (for testing purposes) and I have to say that very early on the game is quite hard :-D
I'll give it up and start "honestly", with the first episode :-)
@devs: would you be interested in translating the games into Czech? For episodes 4-6 it would be quite easy if there were Czech fonts (ěščřžýáíéóúúďťň & ĚŠČŘŘŽÝÁÍÉÓÚÚŮĎŤŇ).

sisinka , DragonScales is an awesome series; one of my favorite all-time. It's too bad the developer changed their game engine in recent years so they probably won't make any more of these games. Most of the DragonScales series isn't actually that tough if you remember that the scale sets don't have to be placed all in a line...as long as you can fit the scales onto the playfield where they all touch each other, your move works. Once you get good at "folding" the scale sets and making setups of matching colors so you can regularly clear out 3 or more of a kind, it's not too bad. If you get stuck, IKIGames posted several of my WTs on their website under the Guides section and I can help you with a level if you get stuck since I didn't do a WT for DS6. DS5 is the most challenging of the series.
It looks like the older DragonScales games are getting added to Steam now as I just looked, and the only ones not on Steam are 1, 2, and 4. #7 has no Steam achievements but the others do, which means I'm probably going to buy them again one of these days just to satisfy the gaming OCD... B-|

Thanks sisinka , I didn't realize you could get all 7 games because when I was doing a search on Steam earlier today only a few of the individual games came up, but now I can see the bundle package too. And wow, that's a really great price at $24.99 for all 7 games! I have them all already either from BF or direct from the developer, but gaming OCD me really wants the Steam achievements you can get for 3, 5, and 6. As for the 4 or 5 scale long sets, yes, those are pretty tricky but are also good for getting bigger or multiple matches. Meow the cat only appears in DS6, and there's more going on with Meow than it looks...don't want to ruin it for you so you'll have to keep playing to find out.
Have you played any of the Suddenly Meow games?

I haven't played any SM games yet. I rather like M3s that are on a big screen, or the levels consist of multiple linked screens (Jewel Match, Match Ventures, Runefall).
I know DragonScales levels aren't large either, but those games have different mechanics than classic M3s, similarly as the Claws and Feathers series.
