LOL he and the rest of the Suricate team are pretty good at coming up with weakness I didn't know I had in M3 gaming. Be glad you aren't privy to the moaning and whining I do while beta testing for them! :P
Wait until you see one of the newest features in JMO2. I still hate it.

Switchers? ;) I'm most annoyed when I can't free all the balloons in the pearl level.
You can always think of other options and mechanisms, check out the BFG games Tower of God or Tower of Wishes.

@all: For JM Aquascapes players, a different rule about the pieces in the net can be a bit confusing. New: moving a piece in the net may not create a row of 3 (or more) pieces. I think it's easier now.

pennmom Origins 2 is now out on steam and thankyou ashmoor , Very early days and it looks impressive however on the first level one thing that I did find annoying was you have to get a certain type of tile to release the amulets which are both on other boards yet there is no way of telling if you have collected enough tiles without going back to the first board. Maybe it is just me but because this was on the very first level I just noticed it more and it may put some people new to these games off. Had this not been in the very first level it may not have noticed as much. Can't wait to get really in to this game

I'm loving the game so far. Played for about 2 hours this afternoon. I don't know if it's just my pc but was unable to toggle to a smaller window.

cyril50, yes, the newer games pretty much throw you into the deep end right from level 1 instead of having 10-15 easy levels at the start. As for not knowing when you've collected enough tiles to open a tile lock in another room, I don't know of a good workaround for that. Older JM games used to do a little screen scroll every time you got a key or unlocked something in another room to "flash" that you'd completed something, but it drove me crazy and I'd asked if they could remove that feature, which they did in the next game, so you can blame me. :P good2bqueen, I think I also had that same issue with this game and the last JM game where "Smaller Window" in the game options no longer works (I also always play in windowed mode) - before Aquascapes, the "Smaller Window" did use to give me a smaller window than the default windowed mode window, but now I only get one window size too when playing in windowed mode - clicking "Smaller Window" after unchecking "Fullscreen" just makes the window flash a bit while it "switches", but the window is always the same size. Are you having an "overflow" issue with your window where the bottom of the window is cut off? I'm going to get started on a tips guide for now as I don't have the release version of the game yet; am waiting for BF since I don't want the "vapors" making me even crazier than I already am... (rofl) Will add partial walkthroughs for the levels I found particularly tricky later. ashmoor I believe is taking some well deserved time off to visit family right now, but I'm sure he'll stop back by in the near future.

SynthpopAddict ,Thanks for your help. Should have been an obvious solution. The window sizes are nearly the same but the smaller window keeps your desktop easily available. I tend to play and replay these games for long periods of time. The music is so lovely and relaxing.

Oh, I KNEW I shouldn't have done that...but if you look on Steam right now, JMO2 CE is selling for less than $9.99 USD! This is less than what BF charges for their SE games at the non-member rate! Sheesh, Felix needs to get a clue. :O

sisinka , it's not our fellow Woodsy Ashmoor, but one of the programmers who works for Suricate. I don't know him personally so don't want to reveal his name here. He certainly checks in on Steam every day though from what I've seen.
On a slightly different tack: ashmoor I saw people are stuck on level 131 in JM Origins 2 CE with there apparently being no fishnet pieces in the "maze" in that one room with the red key, so then they can't get it out? Has this happened to anyone else? I finished the game twice during beta testing, and once in the Steam version (currently working on limited moves mode in profile 2 when I can find the time) and have never not gotten netted pieces to move that key. Have told the 2 players who had this problem what you're supposed to do, but if they never get fishnets, then it would be impossible to get past level 131. The screenshot posted by one player on Steam looks like they might be playing in relaxed mode, so could it be a bug only in the relaxed mode? Even if you are slow with moving the gems, it shouldn't cause all the netted pieces to go away?

sisinka, Ludoor is Remi. He handles feedback for M3s on steam. "ashmoor I saw people are stuck on level 131 in JM Origins 2 CE with there apparently being no fishnet pieces in the "maze" in that one room with the red key, so then they can't get it out? Has this happened to anyone else?" SynthpopAddict, that has not happened to anyone else. If I remember correctly we (me, Remi and Adrian) spent some time hunting for that to no avail. It was probably an extremely rare bug and if we didn't know what lead to it, we could not fix it.

ashmoor, thanks for the update, you rock as usual! :D I'm wondering if the screenshot where the person had zero fishnet pieces in the "maze" hit them all with the hammer or other powerups so then the game refilled the area with regular pieces.

Considering how the first 3 Atlantis Solitaire CE games are on Steam, can't see why this one wouldn't make it there eventually. GameHouse has a 30 day exclusive on new games releasing there first, so will be a little while. I don't beta any of the solitaire games for Suricate because they are simply far too long for me now...only did one or 2 of the card games several years ago when they were more like 200 or so levels, so don't have any other details.

The thing about too long means at least it's not too short! It's definitely the customer getting their money's worth.
At this point I will renew my plea for a space-themed Jewel Match game. Complete with little space owls wearing helmets.

I got an email today saying JM Aquascapes 2 CE is now out on Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/2571780/Jewel_Match_Aquascapes_2_Collectors_Edition/Currently on sale for $12.59, regular price $13.99.
A new tweak to the mechanics is if you have a crab one space away from a wall, you can drag it to the wall without a match and get it. There are new Collectible Fish randomly added to levels in bonus "fish rooms" that get tacked on sometimes to a level (which ones they appear in is completely random, but you get more opportunities for fish rooms on higher difficulty play modes). 15 Collectible Fish total. These fish are a lot like the crabs, but have a limited moves counter on them to get them to a wall. If you manage to pick up the Collectible Fish, it goes into an aquarium which you can view from the main game page. Otherwise, the usual very long M3 game over 2 maps and plenty of bonus M3 levels plus minigames. Check out the CE extras for more custom cursors, the ability to customize the soundtrack, and change tile sets. I am working on a different game right now, but will plan to play this soon to see how it compares to the beta version I tested some time ago.

I like to keep M3s and solitaire games going while working on adventure and HOPA games. I am getting close to the end of Jewel Match Solitaire Atlantis 4 CE. I love these games and usually play about an hour a day and will only accept perfect scores. I have been playing for a couple weeks. I really love the bonus games and play some of them multiple times. Some I have never heard of and are pretty tough.
I am sure I will buy the two above that I don't have.
